Well today I am 14 weeks and 3 days and just super happy to be pregnant. :)
I had all of my appointments and they were great. My NT test came back with no bad news, the fetal echo was great. And it was soooooooooo neat to see the little heartbeats and they acutally looked like little humans. The heart rates were 161 and 155 which the doc said were great heartbeats and that I have nothing to worry about.
I also met my OB for the first time. He told me that I am healthy and that I was measuring at 18 weeks (I was only 14 in actuality) .....ummmmm WHAT?!?!? lol My husband and I have large babies in our family so as much as I want them to be healthy I really hope we don't have two huge babies. eek! He also told me that I have to take a leave starting at 24 weeks, as he doens't like the idea that I fly in and out of work....which suits me just fine! lol
I finally got some medication for morning sickness as it seems to have gotten worse not better and the medication makes me very drowsy and honestly isn't 100%. Other than that I am having some mid back pain that goes into my ribs that just keeps getting worse and worse. I am going for a massage soon and I am praying that helps, if not I am going to be for a tough couple of months until work is done. It seems to be at it's worst when I am sititng and as I work in an office this is impossible to avoid.
I have also popped a lot. None of my clothes fit anymore and I officially have a pregnant belly. It's still so surreal to me. I haven't really wrapped my head around the fact that I am going to have two babies in less than 6 months. C-R-A-Z-Y.

I asked for this?
Hello Again,
I know, I know, I am really slacking at keeping updated posts but to be honest most of the time my I'm so tired that my brain can put more than one sentence together. For the first time in a week the sun is shining where I am so I have a feeling that might have something to do with my lethargy.
Today I am 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant. The last time I talked to you I was having all day morning sickness, completly interrupted sleeps and moodiness. Well unfortunately that still hasn't changed and I have a few more to add to the list. For the past 1.5 weeks I have been having mid back pain. It's truly the most bizarre thing, I have never had back pain here before without being injured. It gets really bad when I sit all day (which is every day as I work in an office) so my reprieve comes at night when I get to lay in bed. With this new symptom I have also devloped pain in my left front ribs. I have a sneaky suspicion that these two things are related somehow. I have a very short upper body so I am guessing with the twins expanding my uterus at an expoential pace that my organs are moving around and causing areas of my body to stretch. Oh boy.....this is going to be one long pregnancy if I am in pain already! lol On a positive note my food aversions and disspated substantially. I can meat again which is great, and the smell of everything doesn't make me want to gag. However I really do need to make sure that I am eating often or else I get very nauseous and then I can barely eat anything.
I have also been taking weekly pregnancy shots of my belly, so when I figure out how to upload them I will post them up here. Currently I can tell that I am getting a belly but to the average person they would probably just think I am getting fat! lol
Every day I am sooooooooooooo thankful for this amazing experience and the miracle that I have been given. BUT there are moments of weakness when I'm trying not the throw up where I think, "I asked for this?"
As for the update on my appointments I have about a million coming up. Next Wednesday I have my Fetal Echo ultrasound to make sure the heart beats sound good and normal or if there are any defects. Then Thursday I have an appointment with my GP for my first pre-natal appointmnet. Friday I am scheduled to have my NT (where they test for genetic disorders such as Down Syndrome, Trisonmy etc.), however I am undecided whether I will follow through with this one or not - thoughts??
And in the midst of these appointments my husband and I are house shopping! So lots of exciting things taking place in my life.
I will keep you posted on the results from my ultrasounds next week. I am praying that there are still 2 healthly little beans growing in there....pray along with me if you want.

Could Time Move any Slower?
Well today puts me at exactly 8 weeks pregnant, and let me tell you time is moving like molasses through the desert.
I spent 2.5 years trying to get pregnant which means there were approximatly 29 two week waits that I went through. During these two week waits I felt as if time were standing still. I would spend my days looking up 'symptoms' online and researching how I could make everything perfect to ensure I would concieve. And then, every time, Aunt Flo would rear her ugly little head and I would move on. My point is that I honestly didn't think that time could ever move slower than during those two week waits. I WAS WRONG!
I envisioned that once I were to concieve that I would be living on cloud 9 and that nothing could possibly bring me down....X - wrong again.
First of all at about 6.5 weeks I started having all day morning sickness which they say is quite common especially with twins. I never physcially vomitted but there was lots of gagging, dry heaving and deep breathing. The thought of eating chicken made me gag (and this is my go to protein as I don't eat a lot of red meat), the smell of food cooking, especially anything fried, made me gag. So eating became a chore, I have learned to eat small portions of things and to ensure I never let myself get hungry or the nausea comes full force.
My second major symptom was that I was TIRED and I would fall asleep quickly and deeply but about 3 hours later I was awake and I would toss and turn for the rest of the night.....this has now been non stop.
My third symptom is that I am more moody, I find my patience wears thin and I am grumpy often. I partially attribute this to my interupted sleep but I really think it's the hormones wreaking havoc.
I have been praying that this morning sickness would subside as its difficult to get anything done, however, I know that this is a good sign. So yesterday I felt great. I was a little gaggy in the morning but for the rest of the day I was hungry and energized. The problem is that this makes me worry. Some people report vanishing symptoms as a sign of miscarriage......= me worrying
And this my friends is why time is moving so slow. I don't want to wish away this pregnancy but I sure would like the first trimester to come and go so that my chances of carrying these two nuggets to term increases substantially.
So please pray that these nuggets continue to grow and stay healthy.

Wait for it.....
My apologies for keeping whoever is reading this in suspense but I have great news!!!!
IM PREGNANT!!!!
So here is a brief little journey of the past few weeks....
6dp-5dt - I caved and took a pregnancy test and for the first time I saw two pink lines within 20 seconds. I couldn't believe it. I was shaking and woke up my hubby and we couln't even talk.
(dp= days pasy. dt= day transfer)
7dp-5dt - I took another test on a digital this time and it said pregnant! holy crap!!!
8dp-5dt - called the doc becuase I was 99% sure I had a bladder infection so they told me to just do the beta when I went in to give the urine sample. They told me they would call for the results the next day.
9dp-5dt - the office called and my beta numbers were 178! My particular clinic looks for anything over 70 and seeing as I did it a day early my number was great. It was a this point that my hubby and I actually started beliveing we were preggers.
10dp-5dt - went in for my second beta as they want to ensure that the numbers are doubling making it a viable pregnancy. The numbers should double every 48-72 hours. HOLY CRAP they are 442! Only one more beta to go.
14dp-5dt - went in for the final beta as the clinic wants to make sure the numbers make it over 1000 and my numbers came back at 3083!!!! Yippee!!
My first ultrasound was scheduled earlier than normal as I work out of town but normally they schedule between 7-8 weeks to make sure that the pregnancy isn't ectopic.
6w-3d - went in for the ultrasound. The doc started off and then said, "oh I see what the problem is." My heart sank I thought for sure something was wrong but instead he said "There's two!!!!" And then BAM we could hear a heartbeat. I honestly didn't think that we were going to be able to hear the hearbeat but it was amazing! Baby A was 119bpm and Baby B was 116BPM. Great heartbeats for 6 weeks and the babies were measuring perfectly.
(w=weeks, d=days)
We left the hospital so happy and in shock. We are having twins!!! To be honest it still doesn't feel real. I am currently 7w4d and I will let you know all the awesome things that have been happening with my body on my next post. And I promise it won't take me a month...hehe

PUPO
PUPO - pregnant u til proven otherwise.
This is a saying that my trying to conceive friends use and it helps to bring a smile from my face and keeps my attitude positive.
Today I am 3 days past. 5 day transfer. I had my transfer on Sunday and it went amazing. I had two eggs that were 4AB. The only better quality is 4AA so we were ecstatic. We also had 2 embryo's to freeze of similar quality. The doctor was very happy and implanted both so I am PUPO!!!
Currently I have no symptoms. Maybe a couple twinges now and then but after symptom spotting for 2.5 years I've learned to pretty much ignore everything unless its something of epic proportions. So I'm praying that I'm in my last two week wait for a while and I'm praying even harder for both of these embryos to stick.
Six more sleeps until my blood work, so here's to some symptoms and being able to hold out on peeing on a stick!

Egg Hunt
Well the much awaited day arrived. My DH and I went to the hospital in huge anticipation of how many eggs they would retrieve and fertilize. They brought us in and gave us full scrubs and sat me in this very comfy chair with heated blankets and gave me an IV. When it came time for the procedure I received a local anesthetic that made me sleepy and some pain meds. It turned out to be pretty painful and they had to administer more drugs. At the very end they told me they had retrieved 11 eggs!!! They brought me back to a waiting room where I rested for about 30 min. while DH gave his sample. Lol
We went home and I lay on the couch all day. I felt awful. I could barely walk and my innards were killing me. It was not an experience I want to have to repeat very often.
On top of being in pain I had a severe headache and had contracted some sort of flu/cold. I was coughing, sneezing, blowing my nose every 10 minutes and I couldn't sleep to save my life......but I have tried to tell myself that if this led to me getting preggers I wouldn't complain. So I am taking everything in and trying to stay positive.
After an awful night of sleep I received a call that 7 had fertilized and that I would be doing a 5 day transfer!!!! The world couldn't have been a happier place for me that day.

Two Sleeps...
To all of my followers....if there are any of you out there....only two more sleeps until my egg retreival.
I had my day 7 appointment on Thursday. This appointment was just a standard bloodwork and ultrasound appointment. It's hard to know where you stand at these appointments as the doctor doesn't say a whole lot. I have yet to hear any news on my levels (bloodwork) and he doens't say a whole lot about my follicles other than everything is looking good. The nice part is that I can see how many follicles there are and the size of them as well as my lining on the ultrasounds machine and because of my research I know that my numbers are good. As of this day I have around 15 follies and my lining is an 8. Yeah!
I went back for my day 9 appointment on Saturday and I had a couple of follies that were greater than 20mm (which means I could potentially do my trigger shot) however the doctor said that I only had 2 that were ready and I had many that were around 17mm so we would gain more by waiting more day. So I was told to take Menopur and Orgaultran for one more day and then I would trigger the follwoing night and do the egg retrieval on Tuesday. I also had to go back into the clinic for day 10.
Today I went in for my day 10 appointment to make sure that everythig was still going according to plan. I had an absolute terrible sleep last night due to some crazy back pain, I ended up taking two Tylenol through the night just to try and get some sleep. I asked the doctor about it and he doesn't seem to think that it is from the medication. But I also have a little bit of a sore throat so I am praying that I am not coming down with the flu....
So I was a little nervous for today's appointment as I knew I would find out if I was able to do a fresh transfer or not. During the ultrasound I saw that my lining was around 10mm (AWESOME!) and I had lots of follies all very mature. He obviously hadn't had the results of my bloodwork so he couldn't tell me for sure if I would be able to do a fresh transfer or not.
After the ultrasound the nurse sat down with me and explained that I would probably do a fresh cycle and that if I DIDN'T hear from her then I would take my HCG (trigger) and do a fresh cycle. I went home praying not to hear from the nurse.
At about 1:30pm my phone rings, it's the hospital. My stomach absolutly sank, I couldn't believe I wasn't going to be able to do a fresh transfer.....BUT she was just calling to let me know to only take 1/2 of the HCG shot as my estrogen levels were still in good range but were verging on the side of high and they don't want to overstimulate. YEAH!!!!
If everything goes perfect the doc will do the tranfer a week from today and then 9 days later do a pregnancy test....
Sticky thoughts!!!!
